“Communication Envy,” by Blake Cooper
From Parents, a free EP

Hastily-recorded, imperfect computer/human duet.

Two things—
(1) I made a new EP, called Parents, and you can download it for free from Bandcamp. I recorded it hastily over the last two weeks. I’m choosing to release it today because…
(2) I’m playing a show tonight in Geneseo, at a house show (provided the weather cooperates). My set’s going to be kind of low-key, but it should be enjoyable. Doug Campbell and Attic Abasement will be playing too. Details are on Facebook.

Something New by Europa & The Great Red Spot

This song is going to be on an album that I’m recording

Directed by Ben Morey in Canandaigua, NY

March is a Big Month

We’re releasing three albums next month!

Nick Maynard - The Best Wing LP

Extremely well crafted 8 bit music that will live inside your head until you die.

Europa & The Great Red Spot - Currently Untitled

Catchy, spacy indie rock with soul.

Blake Cooper - Parents (a free download e.p.)

More inspired electro-pop music to follow up his wonderful album On Canandaigua Lake

March is going to be great.

Also! New Music from Ben Morey and The Wallpaper Singers and Black Mold Lightning in the near future!

“Parents,” by Blake Cooper

After spending over a year on my previous album, I felt like making some quick, less polished music. So I decided that, in a month or so, I’m going to release an EP with some new songs, some older songs that didn’t make the OCL cut, and maybe a remix or live track or two. Like I said I’ll probably put this up within the next month, for free.

This first song was made in two days (one for the relatively simple drum programming and guitars, one more to write/record vocals and mix). It’s about generational disconnect, and while it’s not perfect (even really good art never is), I had a lot of fun making it. I hope you like it.

And of course, you can check out my full-length album here.

Even more new Blake Cooper music! Happy times are here…still I guess.
